Zeerokeet from Ayurvet limited is a herbal liquid concentrate for ectoparasite control in dogs and cats. It helps in prevention and control of ticks, mites, fleas and lice as well as sarcoptic and demodectic mange. Zeerokeet also helps to maintain healthy fur and skin conditions.
INDICATIONS
- For prevention and treatment of parasitic infestations and skin affections caused by – ticks, mites, fleas & lice.
- For the prevention and control of sarcoptic and demodectic mange.
- For maintaining healthy fur and skin conditions.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Rhizome of Acorus calamus is used as an insecticide for the destruction of fleas, bedbugs, moths, lice, and so forth. (Vashist & Handa, 1964). Cedrus deodara is an insect repellent. Eucalyptus globulus in Zeerokeet shows acaricidal and repellent activities. Azadirachta indica is an antibacterial and antifungal agent that relieves itching, redness and irritation caused by wounds. Pongamia pinnata shows excellent anti-lice activity.
- Instructions of the veterinarian should be strictly followed as Zeerokeet is an insecticide and can cause strange effects if used naively.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Wash hands well before and after application.
- Isolate the animal for shedding of pests and excess dead pest and skin material on its body. Keep the environment hygienic.
Dilute Zerokeet as suggested below or as advised by the veterinarian and apply over the affected area as hand dressing, spray or dip.
- Fleas & Lice: Use 1:4 dilution for 2 to 3 treatment 5 days apart.
- Ticks: Use 1:2 dilution for 2 to 3 treatments 2 days apart.
- Demodicosis (demodectic mange): Use 1:2 dilution twice daily for initial 1 week and once daily thereafter till complete recovery.
- Scabies (sarcoptic mange): Use 1:2 dilution once daily for 7 days.
- Prophylaxis: Use 1:4 dilution, 15 days apart.
- For best results, keep Zerokeet applied on the body for a period of 18-24 hours, before giving bath.
