USES OF Bayer Negasunt Powder 20g Treatment of: Maggoted wounds Foot lesions of Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) Surgical wounds Accidental wounds Navel infections in dogs and cats.

WORKING MECHANISM Coumaphos and Propoxur are direct inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), the enzyme that physiologically hydrolyse the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Basically, inhibition of AChE causes accumulation of acetylcholine in the synaptic cleft, causing continuous stimulation of cholinergic receptors throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. This overstimulation prevents termination of those nervous signals leading to overexcitation and massive disturbance of normal body movements in parasites. It results in paralysis and quick eventual death. While sulfanilamide is a competitive inhibitor of bacterial enzyme dihydropteroate synthetase which uses para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) for synthesis of the necessary folic acid. Without it, replication is impossible for the bacteria.

This is an excellent product. It worked right away. It’s great for dogs who have maggots in their worms because it kills them all and heals the worm.
