USES OF CELLO DINE SOLUTION 250ML
- Pre-operative prepping of skin
- Preventing bacterial infection and growth on skin
- Emergency antisepsis of minor lacerations, abrasions, and burns
- Post-operative application to surgical incisions
WORKING MECHANISM
Octenidine dihydrochloride is an effective antiseptic compound. Its mode of action is based on destabilization plasma membrane of microorganisms. In this way, as the entire cellular structure is affected rather than specific molecular target, it ensures that microorganisms cannot develop the drug resistance in a straightforward way. Since octenidine is a hydrophobic compound, it requires organic solvent such as phenoxyethanol in order to be effectively administered.
