E6 Lotion from Neo Kumfurt is prescribed in dogs for protection and reinforcement/repair of defected skin barrier, bacterial and fungal infections, mange infestations, dry/allergy prone skin, bad odour, ear inflammation management and as an anti-septic.
INDICATIONS
E6 lotion is indicated for the following conditions:
- Protect and repair defected skin barrier (stratum corneum + hydrolipidic film)
- Combat bacterial and fungal infections
- Fight against mange infestations
- Moisturize, nourish, soothe, and relieve dry / allergy prone skin
- Control bad odour
- Efficiently cleanse and eliminate dandruff scales
- Ear inflammation management
- Topically applicable anti-septic properties
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Essential fatty acids: E6 lotion contains Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids which cannot be produced by animals themselves and would have to be added to efficiently restore the hydrolipidic film and support the skin barrier function. Essential oils in E6 lotion help develop synergies and complement the action of EFA (Essential fatty acids). Sulphur is effective for the treatment if surface-dwelling parasites and dermatophytosis (ringworm). Salicylic acid has keratolytic action of the salicylic acid helps in the desquamation by decreasing skin pH, to subsequently increase water absorption by the keratin in the stratum corneum. E6 lotion also contains curcumin that has healing properties and possesses anti-inflammatory properties.
