Overdose may result in vomiting, diarrhoea and CNS/behavioural changes. In cats, retinotoxic effects can occur due to overdosage. There is no antidote for overdosage and treatment should be symptomatic.

As per the manufacturer, ATAXIN is not recommended in dogs and cats with hypersensitivity to quinolones. Also, safety of ATAXIN in breeding females is not established. In lactating females, enrofloxacin passes through maternal milk and should not be prescribed.
