INDICATIONS

Visio Tears is indicated for:

Symptomatic treatment of dry eye conditions.
As primary treatment option for KCS.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Polyvinyl alcohol, the chief component of Visio Tears, is a non-ionic surfactant used as a stabilizing agent, lubricant and as an agent to increase viscosity to increase the viscosity of the eye and thereby prolong contact time of the active ingredient with the eye. Povidone, on the other hand, is a linear polymer (polyvinylpyrrolidone) which has mucinomimetic properties and helps to retain the tears on the cornea longer. Thus, it acts as artificial tears to help ease dryness and soreness associated with dry eye conditions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS

Use of Visio Tears is contradicted for animals showing hypersensitivity to one or more of the components of this preparation.
Not to be used simultaneously with compounds containing piperazine.
Parasite resistance to any particular class of anthelmintic may develop following frequent repeated use of an anthelmintic of that class.
The safety of Visio Tears has not been assessed in puppies younger than 2 weeks and weighing less than 0.6 kg.

FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. NOT FOR INJECTION
For Ophthalmic use in dogs and cats only.
Not suitable/safe for use if solution changes colour or becomes cloudy.
In case of any allergic or hypersensitive reaction to the product, immediately seek emergency medical care. Common signs of a reaction include hives, swelling, skin rashes, chest pains, as well as trouble breathing or swallow. If irritation persists or increases discontinue the use and consult veterinarian.
Any kind of contact with the nozzle tip surface may contaminate the solution and is dissuaded.
The container should be used within one month after opening.
OVERDOSAGE: No known symptoms of overdosage have been listed by the manufacturer.
PREGNANCY: Although animal studies are insufficient with respect to reproductive toxicity, use of Visio Tears eye drops may be considered during pregnancy, if necessary, only with the veterinarian’s sound expert judgement.
LACTATION: Visio Tears eye drops can be used during lactation.

INTERACTIONS: Simultaneous use of pyrantel (spastic paralysis) and piperazine (neuromuscular paralysis) may result in their anthelmintic effects to be antagonised.

Adverse drug reaction from Visio Tears include visual disturbance, cloudy vision or extreme redness of the corneal tissues. If any abnormal behaviour is observed of your dog or cat, redness in the eyes or if you believe that your animal may be suffering from blurred vision, you should immediately consult your veterinarian. In very rare cases, mild transient digestive tract signs (e.g., vomiting, diarrhoea) may occur.

My dog has to have optimmune for her bad eye, vet decided every month I needed a prescription so I thought I would look for an alternative, as much as I luv my dog I tried this product and honestly think it’s the best, I have seen the magical effects on my dog.
