Effitix is a pipette (solution packed in a dropper kind of pack) which protects your dog against the most common external parasites for four weeks: sandflies, fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Effitix is particularly useful in leishmaniasis-endemic areas since it efficiently prevents the bite of mosquitoes of the genus Phlebotomus, which are disease transmitters.
When Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian, the product can be used as part of a therapy approach to control the condition.
For four weeks, one application gives persistent acaricidal efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). If ticks are present at the time of treatment, not all ticks will be killed within 48 hours, but they will be eliminated within a week.
Used to treat flea and tick infestations when repellent (anti-feeding) activity against sand flies and/or mosquitoes is also required.
