FLEE TIX from Vivaldis is a one-of-a-kind drug exhibiting a triple drug combination available for the first time in India. It has a repelling and cidal action on most of the ectoparasites. Naturally, it can also repel and kill mosquitoes as well. Pyriproxyfen which is one of the components of Flee Tix can act on all life stages of fleas.
INDICATIONS
- In ectoparasitic infestation ,
- For effective protection against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, biting flies and lice.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Imidacloprid, the major ingredient of Flee Tix, is a systemic insecticide. It is especially extremely effective against sucking insects such as rice leafhoppers, aphids, thrips and mealybugs, and very effective against whitefly. It is also effective against some species of biting insects, such as paddy stem borers and Colorado beetle. However, it exhibits no effect on nematodes or spider mites. It has also been found that at comparatively high dose rates it kills adult insects and has ovicidal effects. As for its action mechanism, imidacloprid is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor stimulator. Its mechanism of action differs from that of conventional insecticides. The molecule exhibits a novel mode of action as it is an agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor leading to paralysis and death of the pest organisms. Permethrin, another major ingredient, is a synthetic pyrethroid used as a topical insecticide. The main mechanism of action of Type I pyrethroids (such as permethrin) is primarily axonal sodium channel depolarization causing repetitive nerve impulses (tremors). Pyrethroids, such as permethrin, exert neurotoxicity by targeting primarily the voltage-gated sodium channels of nerve cell membranes. By binding to specific sodium channel proteins, pyrethroids slow down the closing and opening of these channels, which causes the nervous system to become hyper-excited due to the increased amount of sodium entering the channels. Gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA)-gated chloride channels and calcium channels have been implicated as additional sites of action. The broad-spectrum activity of permethrin allows it to kill ticks, fleas, lice, mosquitoes, flies, termites, and cockroaches. Pyriproxyfen, the third important ingredient is a broad-spectrum IGR and pyridine-based pesticide. Pyriproxyfen affects the embryonic, larval, and reproductive stages of fleas, whiteflies, houseflies, boll weevils, cockroaches, and mosquitoes. Pyriproxyfen interferes with the insect’s endocrine system and acts as an analog of the juvenile hormone (JH), mimicking its effects. and preventing the molting process, which consequently halts further reproduction.
FLEE TIX IS HIGHLY TOXIC TO CATS

Shitij –
This is an excellent product; I am a regular user, and it works wonders. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about this product, so all I can say is that you’re most likely not using it correctly. I usually apply this while my dog is sleeping so that the liquid does not rub off easily due to the low movement during the night. I strongly advise all dog owners to use this product to keep their furry babies healthy and free of ticks and fleas.
